Marble Hall
On entering KIT from the Mauritskade, you find yourself in the imposing octagonal Marble Hall with its upper gallery. This hall is the majestic vestibule for the Great Hall.
Dance in Marble
The imposing Marble Hall is graced with the most beautiful dance floor in Amsterdam! A dance in Marble event in the Marble Hall is the place to be after many concerts, for a funky after-party or laid-back lounge. It’s the venue for Latin Dance parties, Tango Dance Salons, African Lounges and more. These events are announced along with performance information.
Twelve kinds of Marble
Twelve Italian marbles appear in the symmetrical compositions of floors, pillars, walls and staircases. One marble in particular, vert polcevera, is now so rare that the quarry from which it is sourced supplies only for restoration purposes.
Hire
The Marble Hall (Marmeren Hal) is available for hire. It is a very popular venue for weddings. It has a capacity of 300 guests seated or 600 standing. For more information on hiring this hall, contact Congress Facilities at congresfaciliteiten@kit.nl.
