Masterclasses and Workshops
Every year, the Tropentheater welcomes exceptional artists from all over the world. The presence of these internationally renowned specialists offers students a unique opportunity to become acquainted with – or deepen their knowledge of – a wide range of styles of world music and world dance. So, in consultation with conservatoriums, dance schools and music schools, the Tropentheater organises masterclasses for students and workshops for amateurs (beginners and advanced).
Over the course of the 2011-2012 season, the programme of masterclasses will include ones on Indian dance and expression, flamenco music and dance, Argentinian tango (bandoneon/accordion), Brazilian and Colombian jazz, and singing from various cultures.
